I've never been a specially happy kind of guy due to my upbringing and life events.
There is a good side to bad things happening and hardship in your life, they can build your sense of empathy. The downside, in my case, is that I can forget the small joys of life and cast a gloomy perspective on many things. For all the gloomy persons in the world, you're not alone, I am with you.
