Disconnected, I drift away.

I mainly did this artwork to reflect on the times where I dissociate from being more present and awake.

i'm amazing that you even know what the word dissociate even MEANS! i have a dissociative disorder and NO one ever even knows what that means.

Well it was truly inspired by my own experience, because everyone dissociate at one point or another (if not all the time), it's just not well known or recognized.
If you haven't read it, "The myth of sanity" by Martha Stout is really interesting.

i totally understand. and i know that evvveryone dissociates but absolutely NO one even knows what that word is? are you daydreaming? you're dissociating? ...i'm what??? so, it was nice to know that someone else out there has experience with it since it's all on a spectrum and degree/level of dissociation ((of course day-dreaming/highway hypnosis being the most mild forms)) but i could tell you knew more about it considering you even knew the freaking WORD.
regardless, i absolutely loved this piece. wonderful job executing it
